Loose Louvers? Let us help you!
Adjusting the louver tension on your shutters is a simple process that can help you maintain their functionality and appearance. Follow these steps or watch our video tutorial for a visual guide:
What You’ll Need:
Phillips or flat-head screwdriver
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Open Louvers Horizontally: Start by fully opening the louvers so they are parallel to the ground.
2. Locate Tension Screws: Open the panel of the shutter and look for the tension screws on the side of the frame. These are usually located near the top and bottom hinges.
3. Adjust Tension Screws: Use your screwdriver to turn each screw. Clockwise rotation tightens the tension, while counterclockwise loosens it. Adjust each screw a little at a time to avoid damaging the louvers.
4. Evenly Tighten Screws: Ensure that you tighten the screws evenly on both sides of the panel to maintain balance and prevent warping.
